These demos showcase how the Barracuda App Server (BAS) enables reactive, real-time web interfaces for embedded and industrial systems. They follow the design patterns described in the tutorial Modern Approach to Embedding a Web Server in a Device, demonstrating how multiple browser windows can stay perfectly synchronized while interacting with the same UI.
Chidry
A rapid mock-up built by a Vue.js developer in just a few hours, the Chidry demo highlights BAS’s ability to synchronize dynamic UI elements across multiple connected browsers in real time.
LED-Control
The LED-Control demo demonstrates real-time hardware interaction, controlling LEDs via GPIO. This demo requires that the target microcontroller responsible for LED control is actively running.

Seamless Cloud-to-Edge Control and Real-Time Synchronization
The simplemq.com domain hosts a cluster of SMQ brokers distributed across two Internet servers using round-robin DNS. These servers form the cloud layer of our real-time messaging network.
At the Embedded World Conference, an Advantech SOM-DB2510 board running QNX extends this cluster from the show floor. The Barracuda App Server on QNX runs an SMQ broker that connects securely to the Internet and automatically joins the simplemq.com cluster, now operating as a unified, three-node network.
On the private local network, a microcontroller edge node connects to the QNX broker and drives four LEDs. Each LED can be toggled in real time through the SMQ cluster, demonstrating bidirectional communication between the cloud, edge, and web.
Whether connected locally or remotely, all browser interfaces remain perfectly synchronized, demonstrating a live example of the Web of Things architecture powered by the Barracuda App Server and the SMQ protocol. The SMQ protocol is built for engineers who need real-time precision at any scale, from QNX devices to the cloud. The SMQ cluster architecture keeps your data synchronized, your latency low, and your system design refreshingly simple.
